I love Datev because I get to be with my friends, while praying and learning about our Armenian Faith and history. It’s a unique opportunity to be with all these priests, and every one who can, should take the opportunity.

I had a lot of fun meeting new people and spending my time with friends. I had a lot of fun learning more about my heritage and religion. There are many sports that you can play like Datev games, basketball, volleyball, dodge ball, soccer, etc. The number one thing that I have learned the last two years at Datev is that, “God gives you everything as a gift”.

Datev is not like any summer camp. It’s a place of education, worship, and fun. Being a Datevastsi is a huge privilege and every year it gets better and better. Not only do I feel closer to God, but I have made lasting relationship with fellow Datevatsis. Datev is like a second home for me. I hope that all of the younger Datev students will continue to return and make valuable memories that they will cherish for years.
